Things to know when applying for age pension

AT CENTRELINK

1. Visit Centrelink 2 months prior to turning Age Pension
2. Obtain a CRN (Customer Reference Number)
3. Provide ID (drivers licence, medicare card, citizenship, birth certificate)
4. Obtain a ‘Linking Code‘ from Centrelink to link your Centrelink and MyGov account
5. Add a ‘Service’ and provide access to Centrelink using the linking code.

If you do not have a MyGov account, and you are reasonably skilled with computers, click MyGov to create one.

Please note each client must have their own email address for their own MyGov account and cannot share one with their partner

AT LIFELONG WEALTH

After your visit to Centrelink, your Lifelong Wealth financial adviser can assist you with setting up your MyGov and Centrelink accounts online IF you have access to your email account on your phone.

Your adviser can then easily help you apply for your age pension online.

Bring the following:
If you do not have a MyGov account, and you are reasonably skilled with computers, click MyGov to create

  1. Passport number
  2. Bank statements showing account name and numbers (must be dated the day of the application)
  3. Recent shareholding statements
  4. Recent Super and Allocated Pension details or Centrelink schedules (Your financial adviser is likely able to access this)
  5. Other financial assets statements
